Coralin graduated in 2003 from Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, with a bachelor of instrumental music education degree. While at Dordt, she played cello in the Chamber Orchestra and the Northwest Iowa Symphony Orchestra. She also participated in the college bands on the clarinet, euphonium, and alto saxophone. After graduation, she taught for four years at East Martin Christian High School in her native state of Michigan. She completed her MM in Music Education from Western Michigan University in 2012.
Coralin and her husband Nicholas have resided in Russellville, AR, since the fall of 2013. Coralin stays busy at home, caring for and homeschooling their six young children. She is excited to be an active part of the ACME community through her leadership of the Chamber Orchestra.
Brian K. Faulkner, Ed.D.
Brian teaches the Pre-K music class and directs Wee Children's Music Theater. Brian also serves on the ACME Board of Directors as Grant Writing/Fundraising Chair.
Brian is a 1987 graduate of Arkansas Tech University with a BS in Music Education. He is a 2002 graduate of Nova Southeastern University with a MS in Early Childhood Education. He completed his Doctor of Education degree with NSU in 2008.
Brian taught early childhood for 20 years with his company, Makin' Music. In 2017 he left his company to become the high school music teacher with Arkansas Virtual Academy, a K12 Online Charter School. Brian also teaches online education courses for American Public University and Nova Southeastern University. Brian has served on the national board for the Early Childhood Music & Movement Association and as a national mentor with the National Association for Music Education.
Brian and Shirley are parents to three adult children - Brandon, Haley, & Whitney, and one young son, Jaxx. They have one gorgeous granddaughter, Morgan, and a handsome grandson, Peyton. The Faulkners also live with a retired greyhound, Argo.
Shirley (see bio here) teaches CBI (Community Based Instruction) music classes at Russellville High School, beginning band, Children's Musical Theater, Community Festival Chorale, and the West Central River Valley Community Band.
