Welcome to

Arkansas Center for Music Education!

ACME, as it is called, offers a variety of music classes and performance ensembles for home school students, private school students, public school students, special needs students, and the general public of all ages.  We are recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)3 tax-deductible non-profit organization.

Most of our instructors have or are near completion of a degree in music education.  Others have lots of experience in music, such as private instrument instructors.

Our classes operate from September through May.  Our students present excellent programs displaying their many talents and skills learned in the classroom.

Our goal is to provide a quality music education to those who would not have the opportunity otherwise or who missed out earlier in life and, most importantly, to develop in our students a love and respect for music and its impact on our lives.

We hope to eventually have some materials and classes online for those who like what we do but don't live close enough to attend classes in person.

So set us up in your Favorites on the Web, and then browse through our site! You can also "Like" us on Facebook!

WE HAVE A HOME!!!

After many years of holding classes wherever we could beg space, we have our own location.  The physical address is 2106 East 16th Street in Russellville - east of Hickey Park near the fire station.  We owe a great amount of gratitude to the Van Horn family for allowing us to use the facility.

Our board of directors is also looking into the possibility of purchasing the property, which would give us a PERMANENT home.

There is still some work to be done - removing grass, brush, overgrowth in the parking area and around the fence, removing drafting tables from some of the rooms, etc.    If you would like to volunteer to help with this, let us know.  Call or text 479-264-9107 or email shirley.faulkner@ac-me.org.

We will be needing some furnishings.  To keep up with what we need, watch this page or go to our Facebook page and "Like" us and check the "Discussions" on the left side of the page.
